FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is calibration and why is it important to my company?Calibration is checking, adjusting, or determining an instrument by comparing it with a standard. Regularly scheduled calibration is extremely important to maintaining your quality program. If you don't have a regular calibration program, both output and measurement tools can drift off target over time. Failing to get instruments calibrated consistently can result in a loss of time & money.
What kind of calibration do I need?Different companies have different calibration needs, depending on their quality standards & requirements. We provide standard calibration, calibration with data, & accredited calibration.
How do I send in a piece of equipment to be calibrated?First, determine the make & model of the instrument needing calibration. Then you can fill out our quote request online or give us a call at (502) 363-9454 to speak with a representative. Our staff will get you a pricing quote as quickly as possible. Then, you can either ship your equipment to us or drop it off at our facility. We also offer equipment pick-up services for larger orders.
My specific instrument is not on your line card. Can you still work on it?The best way to determine this is to give us a call or email us. Technology is always changing and so are our capabilities! We will research your instrument and determine if we can service it. If we are unable to work on it, we can assist you in outsourcing your equipment to another provider.

How do I keep track of my calibration schedule? We are happy to help you keep track of your company's assets. Each piece of equipment calibrated receives a sticker with a calibration due date. The due date will also be listed on your calibration certificate, and we will send you a notice about a month before your equipment is due. This helps you plan for equipment being out of service.
What is your normal turnaround time for standard calibration? Our average turnaround time is 5-7 business days. However, we provide rush service for high priority items and offer a 24 hour turnaround for emergencies. A rush fee may apply if we move your equipment ahead of others.
What should I do if my equipment is broken or stops working?Calibration Technologies offers repair services along with calibration. Combining this process can save you valuable time & money. You can still send your item in for repair only if you choose to do so. We can purchase any repair parts you need and fix the equipment in a timely manner.
Are you able to calibrate my equipment at my facility?Yes, we are pleased to offer on-site calibrations! We can come to your plant or facility and calibrate your equipment there. This is a great option if you have many items that would cost too much to ship out or can't afford a long down time. On-site calibration appointments can be scheduled by calling our sales manager, Tim Young, at (502) 363-9454. We will be happy to work around your schedule.
